Madonna’s Revolution?

Thursday, September 26th, 2013

“I keep telling everyone I want to start a revolution, but no one is taking me seriously,” says Madonna, in a Britain-meets-Michigan accent.

secretprojectrevolution” is the brainchild of Madonna and photographer Steven Klein, and dedicated to anyone suffering from persecution. It’s 17 minutes of Madonna’s self-righteous beliefs paired with shock value cinematography.

Madonna wants to be taken seriously, but this video discredits her supposed passions. Here’s why: at 55-years-old, she is seen rolling around in fishnets and leather. The video embodies the “insatiable desire to be noticed,” something Madonna so desperately wants to quell.

Moreover, “secretprojectrevolution” is the ultimate hypocrisy of her personal life. Plastic surgery and poverty don’t go together. Boyfriends 30 years her junior probably aren’t looking at Madonna’s “tits and ass” but her bank account. She claims “there’s too much creativity crushed under the wheel of corporate branding,” yet she modeled in Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2009 campaign. Even in Malawi, Madonna can’t ditch the diva behavior.

If Madonna wants to start a revolution, she may want to encourage empowerment through education, independence, self-respect and hard work, but where’s the money in that?

Mo’s Minis Bakery

Monday, September 23rd, 2013

Thank you Mo’s Minis for sending down such delicious baked goods!

Mo’s Minis, located in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, sent a care package complete with cake pops, mo pies, cookie pops and chocolate mo’staches, appropriately named the Mo’ Debonaire and Mo’ Selleck. My personal favorite is the cake pops, but they’re all so good we finished the box after the shoot.

Mo’s Minis offers everything from cake lollipops to wedding cakes. No job is too big or small, and they ship internationally. Last year they sold 5,000 wholesale for Movember. Keep Mo’s Minis in mind for your next event, or to treat ‘yo man for Movember!

*A huge thank you to Vida Kush for jewelry and my girl Rhianna for styling and photos!

Mollie & Mia

Sunday, September 22nd, 2013

While home photographing my cousin Katie, two other cousins joined in on our photo adventure. Mollie and Mia also played a big role in the shoot.

Mollie, the older sibling, held my photo flex almost the entire time. Without her assistance, photos would not have turned out the same. Luckily she let me take her photos too. Girl is gorgeous, and also a talented actress. Movie star in the making?

Mia is also quite the character, and as the youngest of four this comes as no surprise. She loves having her picture taken, so there will be many more Mia shoots in the future.

If you haven’t, scope out my last shoot with Mollie and Mia. Already brainstorming photo ideas for our next family outing…

Not-So-Baby Cousin

Thursday, September 19th, 2013

My baby cousin Katie is no longer a baby, but a mega-babe. When she asked me to shoot senior photos, I jumped at the chance.

Thick, long hair, legs for days, stunning smile and a personality to boot, I’m one lucky cousin. I look forward to seeing her transformation from a high school student, to Washington State Coug, to a successful young woman.

If you need senior portraits, head shots or just want to take some pictures, feel free to contact me. I’ll travel depending on the assignment.
