Rural America. Old barns. Open fields. Clear skies. This is Eastern Washington.

More tomorrow. You’ll see what I mean…

I look at Brittanie and Steve’s relationship and remind myself, it’s better to be single than settle. Soul mates exist. These two are proof.

Thai Spice

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

Mom and I ate one last delicious meal before taking off for LA, and what better place to eat into oblivion than Thai Spice in Kennewick?

Next to sushi, Thai food is one of my favorites. I could eat curry, pad Thai and butterflies for days. For reals.

Butterflies, for those of you unaware, are deep fried wontons with crab meat and cream cheese filling. Not bikini body approved, but certainly Bess approved. Highly recommended the next time you eat Thai. I’m also a huge fan of curry, particularly red with chicken. Extra spicy to get my blood flowing. Pad Thai is delicious too, but not good for those of you with nut allergies, as it contains peanuts and peanut sauce.

If you’re in Kennewick and craving Thai, make sure to check out Thai Spice on Clearwater. Bring your butterfly net, because you’ll be hooked. And If you bring a date, make sure they like it hot. No one wants to pull a Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly!

Memorial Day 2011

Monday, May 30th, 2011

Happy Memorial Day!!

I want to say thank you to all our troops, present and past, home and overseas, active and reserve, for protecting our country, fighting for freedom and keeping America safe. You make our country the land of the free and home of the brave!

On another note, I literally ate enough food for a small family, which doesn’t bode well with my bikini body. Hummus and chips. Flank steak and chicken. Potatoes. Rolls. Blueberry crisp with vanilla ice cream. I’m going to explode just thinking about it.

The longer I’m home, the more I eat, and the more I eat, the more I seriously consider the Master Cleanse upon my return to LA…

Yup, confirmed. This is the only thing I miss about home. Well, aside from my parents and cats.

Thanks Teresa, Brittanie and Annie for doing one last shoot, before I hit the road, Jack!

Miss you girls more than words can describe.

Sushi Ya: ya it’s that good.

Mom and I went out for one last sushi meal before my move to LA. I think we ate enough food for four people. We ordered a Vegas Roll (pictured), Philly Roll, Spicy Dragon Crunch, sashimi, miso and edamame. We also ate every last bite.

Love sushi? Stuck in Tri-Cities? Make sure you check out Sushi Ya. If you’re a fan of cream cheese (I am obsessed) you don’t want to miss the Vegas Roll. Just a warning, this place gets packed on the weekends so set aside a couple hours to eat!
