Last night Mel, Mendy, Jordan and I went to Out and About’s monthly drag show to cheer on our friend Doug, also known as Veronica Wood.

I’ve never been to a drag show before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Drag queens (and a king) lip synced and danced to great music. As a lover of dance, I had no idea these ladies would break it down as well as they did. I’m talking choreographed breakdowns, dance team style.

Doug loooves Lady Gaga, so naturally Veronica sang and danced to her songs. Veronica’s performance was undoubtedly my favorite, and I’m not just saying that because we’re friends.

As a girl it’s nice to go to a bar and for once not have people creeping on you. The environment here is fun, accepting and laid back.
