Thank you Brittanie for (again) dying my brilliant brunette locks!
I can’t write a beauty blog without giving some love to Davines, one of my new favorite haircare lines. Brittanie got me turned on to them when she suggested the Nounou pak. You know that after-haircut feeling? With Nouou, I get that every time I condition. No joke. If you have fine or damaged hair, this conditioner is a must and is without a doubt worth the few extra bucks.
As for my color, don’t worry it’s the exact same, only with more shine and dimension. You know those Pantene models? Today that is me. (tosses hair)

I am so thankful for my amazing group of girlfriends. Being an only child, I have an unexplainable appreciation for my friends, for they are my siblings. I don’t know what I’ll do without you! (wipes away tear)

Headshots

After taking Brittanie‘s photos for Balanced Beauty (see below POTD), I had her snap a few headshots for me.
Wait, headhshots? Aren’t those for actors and actresses? Well, yes. And don’t worry, I’m not moving to LA with aspirations to act like 83.74% of the city. I did however notice that when applying for PA jobs, many asked for headshots. I didn’t have a good headshot, thus the importance of taking these before taking off.
So what is a headshot and what separates it from every other face photo? I don’t really have time to elaborate right now (I literally have 1,000 photos to sort and edit by Saturday) so click here, here or here to find out for yourself.
Thanks again to Brittanie who styled my hair and (minimal) makeup for this shoot. You did a great job with camera composition as well! Future photog and stylist!?
While I’m not going into acting, I’m pretty stoked to have solid headshots for my relocation to LA. Are headshots the money shots? Wait and see…
*I used L’Oreal Double Extend mascara for this shoot. While the pre-mascara-lash-extend-crap worked wonders, the mascara itself made my lashes look like clumped spider legs. If you want an eye opening mascara, check out Cover Girl’s LashBlast!
