It’s Fashion Friday: Levi’s Sample Sale Style!

That’s right, I hit up the Levi’s sample sale and what else would I wear to a Levi’s event, other than my vintage $1 self-cutoff Levi’s!? Be jealous shoppers, be jealous…

On another note, I got oodles of compliments on my wolf shirt. The guy at the bank described it as “the coolest shirt I’ve ever seen.” Thanks Teresa for sewing in lace patches to this (also) $1 vintage find. This shirt draws boys like bees to honey, further proof you don’t have to drop a load of cash to get a great top.

Actually, now that I think about it, today’s entire outfit today came from thrift stores. The wolf shirt and shorts ($2 total) I scored at Penny Pinchers in West Richland. The sunnies ($1) and jacket ($12) came from Goodwill. The boots ($25) and cuff ($5) I scored at the Melrose Trading Post. Heck, the only things not thrifted are my rings. Total outfit cost? $45 bones. Clothes > Full Tank of Gas

Do you have a style staple that is guaranteed compliments? $1 wolf shirts make me feel better about $198 Jeffrey Campbell heels :]

Fashion Friday: long hair, don’t care.

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I worked into the wee morning hours last night resulting in a late slept Friday. My morning prep went like this: brush hair, brush teeth, throw on clothes, good to go.

I changed things up by changing my part, but other than that didn’t put too much time or effort into today’s outfit. Meh, how dressy do you need to be to run errands?

What’s your lazy day style staple? When I wear leggings and a loose top, it’s my way of saying, “I’m trying to care, but I don’t.”

Looking For Love

Saturday, May 14th, 2011

But sometimes it’s easier to just break hearts…

I turned Friday night into Boogie Nights with a little photo fun. I scored these shades in Venice with Rio the other day and had an instant photo vision. Seriously, who isn’t looking for love? And what better way than heart-shaped sunnies!? Hellooooo summer 2011!!

On another note, I miiiiiiiiight be visiting Eastern Washington in a couple weeks. What does this mean? Cheap shit + The Trifecta = Photo shoots for dayzzz

This outfit, aside from being my typical LA attire, is a great example of investment pieces.

I’ve previously mentioned thrifting parts of my wardrobe and investing in others. For this Fashion Friday blog, I would estimate my shirt, shorts AND bag came to roughly $5. My boots I bought in China (bargained ‘em down to $30!) and the D&G sunnies were a graduation gift from my dad. It just goes to show that when you mix vintage and investment pieces, you get an outfit not available in stores. Throw in a DIY’d top by Teresa Does It, and your outfit is priceless!

Fashion Friday: April Fools 2011

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

Ok, so I’m a day late posting these Fashion Friday photos. My bad. Consistent Internet has been a pain since getting to LA, so bear with me. I don’t move into my apartment for another two weeks. Once I get AppleTalk hooked up, it’s go time.

Even though it’s April Fools, Fashion Friday is nothing to joke about. I realized in the midst of my packing and unpacking, I left my box of shorts at a friends’ house and he didn’t get back from Vegas until Friday afternoon. As a result, I dressed like a solar panel for a few days, sweating my ass off.

Today I played it cool in a tank dress, light scarf and boots. Alright, still a little warm, but it beats wearing black leggings and a black T (my usual attire). Just like with Internet, once I get into my apartment, it’s fashion go time. I have a weird love of organizing things, and my closet is no exception. There will be a blog featuring its borderline OCD layout.

What did you wear for Fashion Friday? The weather here has been horrible… APRIL FOOLS! (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself)

Dress: American Apparel
Boots: Nine West
Scarf: Beijing Silk Market
Rings: China/Gift from my Dad
