My friend Mendy is coming to visit next month and recently asked what is in style in China. I Googled “Chinese Fashion Trends” and could only find outdated blogs and an article about some homeless guy dubbed the “Beggar Prince.” Inspired, I’ve decided to start my own blog category dedicated to Chinese fashion trends.

Everywhere I go I see fashionable guys and girls. Seriously, anything goes in China. Brown and black work together. Heels and socks? Sure. You can never have enough accessories. As for shoes, well I’ve seen some shoes to die for. That’s why I’m sharing it with you. The fashion here is so ahead of the States. Granted I’ve seen some rather interesting ensembles, but for the most part the Chinese bring it.

Today while walking home I saw these two girls come out of 7-11 (they’re everywhere in Beijing) and asked if I could snap a picture. Notice the leggings, blazer, tights and flats. These should be fashion staples in every woman’s wardrobe!

I love living in China and the fashion inspires me. Nothing is too big or too little. When I come home, I know I will stand out and I’m alright with that. When it comes to Chinese fashion, it doesn’t matter what you wear, as long as you’re wearing confidence.
