EDC Las Vegas

Monday, June 27th, 2011

EDC Las Vegas changed my life.

No really, one of the most amazing festivals I’ve ever attended. Nothing like a last minute Vegas road trip for one fun in the sun weekend.

I didn’t bring my camera to the event because I didn’t know what to expect. Well now I know. I will be back next year and (fingers crossed) have a media pass. Click here, here and here to see a few iPhone photos.

Thanks again to James for driving! 364 days and counting…

Monta Noodle House

Monday, June 27th, 2011

Best. Ramen. Ever.

If you’re in Las Vegas and craving carbs, or need a good refuel from a wild night out, hit up Monta Noodle House. Their noodles are some of the best I’ve tasted and even rival my favorite noodle place in China. Yes, China. Click here to see what everyone else thinks of Monta Noodle House.

I would almost consider driving to Vegas just for Monta. Road trip anyone?

Umami Burger

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

Last night Mercado and I dined at Umami Burger, a delectable little hamburger joint in Los Feliz.

Ever since I finished my Master Cleanse (ok I made it nine days) I’ve been craving a burger. Especially after Merc told me how delicious Umami is.

I planned to order a veggie burger since it’s bikini season, but after scoping the menu went with the Greek Burger, a lamb patty with minted edamame hummus, Valbreso feta cheese, sliced cucumber and pickled shallots. Mercado ordered the Truffle Burger. Both a success. For sides we got tempura battered onion rings and smashed potatoes, which literally are smashed potatoes.

Umami is amazing. The hamburgers are cooked to perfection and aren’t too filling. We could barely pick which sides to order because they all looked so good. And don’t get me started on dessert, their menu was… Well, avoided. Like I said, bikini season. My only complaint? Our waiter took forever to bring the check. Time aside, if you’re in the area Umami is highly recommended.

Ladies eating burgers, anyone?
