It’s business, it’s business time!
My business cards arrived today and I couldn’t be happier. I ordered 1000 cards, thus forcing myself to network with at least 1000 people this year. I’m pretty confident I can do it. Heck, for the deal I got I could make it rain business cards. Gorilla marketing tactic?
I initially designed these cards in China and had them printed overseas. After consumer feedback, I made a few tweaks to my design this print run. Under my name it says, “Designer. Photographer. Digital Journalist.” Sums me up, right? People also ask what the barcode means and if it works. No, the barcode doesn’t actually work. My concept behind the lines, and the one green line, is that we’re all the same. The green line represents me, standing out in the crowd. I chose green because I love the environment, money and, well, the color itself. Ya dig?
I almost included a PDF of my card, but didn’t want to edit out my phone number (there’s a lot of creeps on the Net) so scratched the idea. If you absolutely must see a PDF of my business card, or better yet want hard copies to pass out, contact me. I’ll send stuff your way!
Shameless Plug: I offer business cards as part of my design services. I’ve done quite a few lately and need to post them (note to self) so stay tuned.
Business cards are a great way to market yourself, especially in this economy. What do you do to set yourself apart? Likes/dislikes of my current design? Feedback, both positive and negative, is always appreciated!
