Photo of the Day: Day One Hundred Ninety Eight

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

This morning I photographed my friend Beth, her husband, two sons, parents and sister.

Between Beth’s family shoot and a high fashion shoot, I literally spent hours thumbing through photos in search of my POTD. Of all the photos I snapped (and I snapped over 2000!) this is one of my favorites. The light is perfect, Christian’s expression is adorable and who wouldn’t love a grandfather/grandson photo!?

I’m burning through photo edits and hope to have the rest of the Edison-Mason family photos posted this week. They turned out better than I expected. I certainly credit the light, location and beautiful subjects for the success of this shoot!

Interested in photos? The holidays are quickly creeping up on us. Lock me in for a photo shoot and have the best looking holiday cards in town!

Elm and Olympia Concert Coverage

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

Here’s a few photos from last night’s Elm and Olympia concert at Ray’s Golden Lion.

These guys are killing it. They’ve got a slew of new songs in the works and it’s not your typical pop-rock-radio-crap. The highlight of my night (aside from seeing a drunk guy get tasered) came from JJ’s guitar solos. He played scales and solos with such ease, speed and perfection that even Seattle’s top rockers would be impressed. When I listen to Elm and Olympia, I feel like I’m listening to a legit rock band. And no, I’m not just saying this because they’re my friends. These guys have true talent, which is something I feel lacks in today’s music industry. Elm and Olympia’s skill, drive and determination is evident in their music. They undoubtably have the potential to perform in packed houses, and I hope my design/PR skills help get them there.

If you’re in the Tri-Cities next Saturday come to Jacksons Sports Bar in Kennewick. Elm and Olympia and Eclectic Approach will both be performing. See these guys before they go global!
