A few photos from my Seattle trip last month. Flew back to the Northwest to celebrate my amazing Great-Aunt Virg‘s 81st birthday.
A much-needed weekend with some of the most amazing people I know. I’m proud to call them family.

While most people did mimosas and omelets for Easter brunch, Jess and I did dim sum at Go Go in Chinatown.
After an extended mass and minimal breakfast, we ordered enough dim sum to last us months. I highly recommend their duck dumplings, green dumplings and Chinese broccoli. I haven’t eaten authentic like this since DinTaiFung back in Beijing. 我觉得很好吃!
Looking for Dim Sum? Look no further than Go Go, at 5 East Broadway, between Chatham Square and St. James Place.

In the Thanksgiving rush, I realized I never posted this delicious restaurant review from Mom’s last trip to LA.
Our last day together, Mom suggested getting dinner and a drink (or two) on the beach. I’d never been to Venice Ale House, but many-a-nights biked past on my way home from work. Beach babes pack the patio and always make for delicious eye candy, so why not scour the Ale House while enjoying our final night together?
We started our meal with a liquid appetizer. Who doesn’t love a good Bloody Mary? For dinner, Mom ordered the B.L.T.A. and I ordered the Ahi Tuna. Maybe it was the other way around? I don’t know, we split our meals. Both delish.
I’ll spare you the details of the savory bacon and tantalizing tuna. Go taste it for yourself. However, I will leave you with this: Venice Ale House is my new go-to joint on Friday evenings. I will be that confident bitch buying herself a drink after work. After all, I’m not going to find my next ex sitting at home.
